When I wrote the last entry, I had no idea that Japan was
actually undergoing similiar conditions....but 38 years later.
They had a cyclone hit the southern portion of Japan, and at the same time several pretty heavy earthquakes hit too.
I guess I feel safer here in Florida with Hurricane Francis and is it Igor? No..Ivan on it's way. I think it's determined to get us. It's been a very long day I'm going to bed.....Sun will be out tommorrow, tommorrow....(hopefully - cabin fever is setting in)
LOL

CalTech predicted an earthquake this weekend. Thankfully, they were wrong. I hope the storms don't hit your side of the nation too hard! Yeah, I saw on the news about Japan. Scary stuff.
Thanks for leaving your kind words at Dancing in the rain. Thought I would stop by because I can always use a laugh. Sounds like you've done your share of travel and have plenty of funny stories to share.

IT DOES SOUND LIKE THESE STORMS ARE VERY DETERMINED. BE SAFE. ITS SO SCARY. I DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS ANOTHER ONE BESIDES FRANCES. SHEESH!!
KIM.
I bet you feel like you are living in "re-run" mode....
...be safe.

yikes - I'm glad you're okay! My very dear friend, Willie, moved to Florida two whole weeks ago - Stuart, FL, to be exact. Luckily, he is temporarily living with his sister and family and they were on top of things - the owners of 2 generators and pleanty of water! Bless his heart, we've always teased him about the fact that if he didn't have bad luck, he wouldn't have any luck at all, and here he up and moves to The Eye of Hurricane Francis. But, by all accounts, they all survived and without much damage (a few roof shingles and a neighbor's tree that toppled partially onto their property).
Stay safe - I hope Ivan dwindles away to nothing.

**Thanks everyone for your good wishes. I just think we are all getting very weary of this weather situation....so we'll keep our fingers crossed. Sandi
UPDATE from me:
My baby is on his way to Japan...as we speak...Tokyo....he is 37, so he's not really a baby, still..I worry for him.....he's excited....

Mother Nature must be PMSing big time! lol I can just hear her now belting out,"Shake, rattle and roll!" lol
Do take care. Whenever I read about Florida when I was younger, it was never the hurricanes that scared me, it was the sinkholes! Also that long bridge that goes down to Key West. Good luck and hopefully you will be able to get out soon!
I`ve just read quite a bit of your journal and I must admit it made me smile ...I`ll be back for more.......Sandra
